Finding the Right Folks and Makin’ it Happen
Eventually, I found this smaller workshop, more like a couple of real craftsmen. They weren’t flashy, but they listened. I showed ’em my rough sketches, my notes. We talked it all through. They made suggestions, I made suggestions. It felt like a proper collaboration, not just me pointin’ at a picture in a catalogue.
The build process itself took a few weeks. I popped over to their workshop a couple of times to see how it was comin’ along. It was pretty cool seein’ the raw wood gettin’ shaped into the panels and benches. They even let me choose the exact spot for the temperature sensor, which sounds small, but it mattered to me!
Then came installation day. That was a bit hectic, gettin’ all the pieces up to my apartment and onto the balcony. But the guys were good, careful. Bit of drilling, bit of wiring (they got a proper electrician in for that, thankfully), and slowly, it started to look like a real sauna.

And now? It’s in. It’s workin’. And it’s exactly what I wanted. Totally worth the effort. The smell of the wood when it heats up is just incredible. After a long day, ten, fifteen minutes in there, and I’m a new man.
