Alright, so I figured I’d share my little adventure at that place, you know, No. 1 Mansion KTV. Heard some talk about it, so the other night, I just decided to go check it out myself. Sometimes you just gotta see what all the fuss is about, or if there’s any fuss at all.
So, I headed over there. First thing, walking in, it definitely tries to look fancy. Lots of shiny stuff, dim lights, the usual attempt at a ‘premium’ vibe. The front desk folks were okay, got me sorted with a room pretty quick. No major drama there, which is always a good start, I guess.
Got into the room. It was… a KTV room. Not massive, not tiny. The couches had seen a few parties, you could tell, but it wasn’t disgustingly dirty or anything. Just, you know, used. The song system was one of those touchscreen things. Took a minute to figure out their layout, always a bit different everywhere you go, isn’t it?
Why I Even Bother Judging These Places
Look, I’ve been to my fair share of KTVs. More than my fair share, probably. There was this phase, right? A few years back. My work schedule was absolutely brutal. Seriously, I was pulling crazy hours, stressed out of my mind. My buddies and I, we made it a weekly thing. Didn’t matter if it was a Tuesday night, we’d find some KTV, any KTV, and just belt out tunes until our throats were sore. It was our way to blow off steam, you know? We weren’t looking for perfection, just a place to yell into a microphone and forget about spreadsheets for a few hours.
Because of that, I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the truly weird in the KTV world. I’ve been to places where the mics smelled like old socks and places so high-tech you needed a manual. So, when I walk into a new spot like No. 1 Mansion, I’m not expecting miracles, but I kinda have this internal checklist running. It’s not like I’m a professional critic, far from it. It’s more like, I’ve just… been around the KTV block a few times. I paid my dues in off-key choruses and overpriced melon platters. That whole period, it was a blur of neon lights and sticky floors. Good times, mostly, but it definitely shaped my KTV standards, or lack thereof for some things.

Back to No. 1 Mansion KTV
So, at No. 1 Mansion, the song selection was pretty decent. Found most of the stuff I was looking for. The sound quality? It was alright. Not amazing, not terrible. Just… functional. Did the job. We ordered some drinks, they came reasonably fast. Pricey, of course. But show me a KTV where the drinks aren’t marked up like crazy, right? That’s just part of the game you play when you go to one of these joints.
We sang for a couple of hours. The system didn’t crash, mics worked okay mostly, maybe one had a bit of a crackle developing towards the end. The service button got us attention when we needed it. Nothing really stood out as exceptionally good or exceptionally bad, if I’m being honest. It was just a very standard KTV experience, dressed up in slightly fancier decor.
My overall take? It’s a place. It exists. If you’re in the area and need a KTV, sure, No. 1 Mansion KTV will do the trick. Don’t go expecting your mind to be blown or anything. It’s another one of those spots that provides a room, a screen, and a microphone. And sometimes, that’s all you really need. But for all the ‘No. 1’ in its name, it felt pretty much like a number two or three in the grand scheme of KTVs I’ve stumbled through. Still, better than that one place I went to in my early days where the only English song they had was “My Heart Will Go On.” That was a rough night.
