Alright, so I heard about this new spa place that just popped up in Shenzhen. You know how it is, new spots open all the time, some good, some… well, not so much. I was feeling a bit beat from the week, needed to properly chill out, so I figured, why not give this new joint a whirl? Decided to head over on a weekday afternoon, hoping it wouldn’t be a total zoo.
Getting There and First Look
Finding the place wasn’t a nightmare, GPS got me close enough, then I spotted the signs. Traffic was its usual Shenzhen self, you know, a bit of a crawl here and there, but what else is new? Pulled up to the building. From the outside, it looked pretty modern, lots of glass and steel, trying to make a statement, I guess. Not overly flashy, which I kinda appreciated. First impressions, not bad.
Stepped inside, and the lobby was pretty spacious. They definitely spent some money on the decor – you know, the whole calming, muted colors thing, soft lighting. The front desk folks weren’t swamped, which was a plus. Got checked in without much fuss. They explained the locker system and where everything was. Paid the entry, a bit on the pricier side for a basic entry, but hey, it’s new, right?
The Main Event: Hitting the Water and Stuff
Got my wristband thingy and headed to the changing rooms. Pretty standard stuff, clean, decent sized lockers. Grabbed a towel, changed, and went to explore the wet areas. That’s what I was there for, after all.
- The Pools: They had a main pool, not Olympic size or anything, but big enough to not feel like you’re swimming in a bathtub with strangers. Water temperature was just right, not too hot, not too cold. Then there were a couple of smaller pools – one was a hot plunge, pretty toasty, and a cold one, which really wakes you up. I did a few dips in each.
- Sauna and Steam Room: Of course, had to try these. The sauna was a dry heat, the wooden kind. Got a good sweat going in there. Stayed for about 15 minutes. Then hit the steam room. Super steamy, could barely see a thing, just how I like it. Cleared out the sinuses, that’s for sure.
- Relaxation Area: After all the heat and water, I was looking for a place to just collapse. They had a dedicated relaxation lounge. Dim lights, comfy recliners. Some even had little personal screens, though I wasn’t really in the mood for a movie. Just kicked back, closed my eyes for a bit. They had some complimentary tea and some basic fruit, which was a nice touch.
I didn’t book any massages or special treatments this time. Wanted to just get a feel for the basic facilities first. Sometimes, just floating around and sweating it out is all you need, you know?

Other Bits and Bobs
Took a wander around. They had a small cafe or restaurant area. Peaked at the menu, looked like your usual spa food – light meals, juices, that kind of thing. Didn’t eat there, so can’t comment on the food quality. The staff I encountered around the place were generally helpful if I asked something, but mostly they just let you do your own thing, which is fine by me. I’m not there to make new best friends with the staff.
Cleanliness was pretty good, I have to say. Toilets were clean, showers were clean, floors weren’t gross. That’s always a big one for me. If a spa isn’t clean, I’m out. This place seemed to be on top of it, at least on the day I went. It wasn’t super crowded, which probably helped, but still, credit where it’s due.
So, What’s the Verdict? Would I Go Back?
So, after a few hours of soaking, steaming, and relaxing, I headed out. Felt a lot better than when I walked in, that’s the main thing. Was it the most amazing, mind-blowing spa experience of my life? Nah, probably not. But it was solid. It did what it was supposed to do.
As for going back, yeah, I probably would. Especially if I’m in that part of town and need a good de-stress session. It’s a decent option. Maybe next time I’ll try one of their treatments to see what that’s like. It’s always good to have another reliable spot in the city for when you just need to escape for a bit. It’s not like those old-school bathhouses, this one’s definitely more of that modern, slightly more upscale vibe. But yeah, thumbs up from me, for what it’s worth. Worth checking out if you’re into this kind of thing.
