My Shenzhen Sheraton Story
So, I found myself needing a place to stay in Shenzhen a while back. Just needed a room, you know? I was looking around, checking out options, and the Sheraton name came up. Figured, “Okay, Sheraton, that’s usually a safe bet, right?” So, I went for it. Booked a room.
Arriving and The First Look-See
Getting to the hotel was, well, it was a trip through Shenzhen. You know how the traffic can be. Anyway, I got there. The outside of the place? Big. Looked like a proper hotel, I guess. Walked into the lobby, and yeah, it was pretty grand. Lots of shiny floors and high ceilings. Felt like a big, busy place, people moving about.
The Whole Check-In Thing
Made my way to the front desk. There was a bit of a line, nothing too crazy though. The staff there, they seemed busy, darting around. When it was my turn, the check-in was, you know, check-in. They asked for my details, tapped away on their keyboards. It wasn’t super quick, but it wasn’t ages either. Eventually, I got my key card and was on my way.
The Room: My Space for a Bit
So, I trundled off to the room. Swiped the card, door opened. My first thought? “Yep, it’s a hotel room.” It was clean, that’s always the main thing I look for. The bed looked pretty inviting, gotta say. Had a quick nose around. Bathroom was standard, all the usual little bottles of stuff. The view from my window was just… a city view. Buildings and stuff. Nothing spectacular, but hey, it was a window.

I didn’t exactly go exploring every corner of the hotel. I did have breakfast there one morning. And man, that breakfast hall was buzzing. Packed with people. The food selection was massive, though. All sorts of things, Chinese dishes, Western bits and pieces. I just grabbed some coffee and a couple of things. Didn’t try any other restaurants, and didn’t hit the gym or pool either, so can’t tell you about those.
Checking Out and The Lowdown
When it was time to leave, check-out was simple enough. Handed in the key, paid what I owed, and off I went. So, what’s the final word on this Sheraton in Shenzhen? Look, it was alright. It did what a hotel is meant to do. It was a clean place to sleep, and it wasn’t a hassle. Would I tell everyone they have to stay there? Nah, probably not. But if you need a reliable spot in that part of town, it’s perfectly fine. It’s one of those places, you know? It just… is. Gets the job done. Sometimes that’s all you’re looking for.
